MSFS 2024 Arrives in November with Blimps, Balloons, and Deer Photography
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is all about adding a new layer of excitement with a variety of sky-bound jobs. Flying around the world in a full-scale simulation is already incredible, but the next installment of this long-running franchise introduces structured missions that let you take on a range of roles in planes, helicopters, blimps, hot air balloons, and more.
It seems fitting that it’s coming out this year, given the title, and we now have a confirmed release date: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will launch on November 19. The trailer shown during the Xbox Games Showcase gives us a glimpse of what’s to come.
For those who enjoy the commercial flight aspect of the game, there’s something new to look forward to: passengers. No more just parking at the gate and imagining the rest-the trailer shows passengers boarding the plane via the jetway. And it doesn’t stop there; the pilot, which is you, can now walk along the tarmac before takeoff. You’ve got a body now, congratulations!
The trailer also highlights various new sky jobs: air ambulances transporting injured people to the hospital, VIP charters in sleek private jets, crop dusting from a helicopter, and even those little planes that tow banner ads across beaches. While those planes might be annoying in real life, the idea of piloting one in MSFS 2024 is intriguing.
Toward the end of the trailer, things get even more adventurous. Microsoft encourages you to explore beyond the cockpit.
Land in a field, hop out, and snap some photos of deer in the woods! Why not? Fly a blimp around the giant Jesus statue in Brazil-just because you can! Take a hot air balloon ride over Paris and enjoy the view. The possibilities seem endless.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be available on PC Game Pass and Steam from day one, launching on November 19.
